Probably one of the hardest things I ever do is talk about me, but, I think I need to so you can understand a little about where I and, so, my Podcasts, come from. That being the case, I will try to keep this short and sweet.
First off, I am a combat Veteran of Vietnam, (1966-1968), where I served the better part of 2 hitches before my incredible luck ran out, and I was sent home. I was in Nam for 1 year, 9 months, and 11 days, not counting the 9 weeks I spent on the US(H)S Repose. After that, I lived a rather rough life made a little worse, I guess, by PTSD. I really don't know because I cannot remember what it's like to not deal with that condition on a daily basis. The initial and subsequent injuries and problems all caught up with me in 2004, when I was evaluated by the VA as totally disabled. I now live with my Partner and our Horses on 200 rural acres in the heart of North Carolina, on a VA Pension.
Secondly, I am an American Indian; raised on the Rez by my very Traditional Grandparents. How that came to be is a long and rather tragic tale which I may produce a Podcast about one of these days. My Youth was filled with tribal Tradition and ceremony coupled with living very close to the Earth. We were self-sufficient Farmers, raising and making our own sustenance and Lives. That’s how I learned to Farm and work with Horses, and it is what I still do, and am teaching our 14 year old boy to do. He is a good kid who has taken up a major portion of the slack since I became disabled. So much for the history to date.
I've never been a one-trick Pony, and at 60, it is too late for me to start. I can promise you that you will hear the Truth, here. I can also promise you that Tecumseh will always be there with me on the broadcasts. Feel free to become a Fan, become a Friend, subscribe, and redistribute what I produce.
