My interest in music started at the age of 6 when my parents took me for violin lessons. I only lasted for one year as I didn't really like it. It was my father who tried to get me interested. He played guitar in a showband in the sixties. As a young teenager I became interested in playing guitar which I learned for many years. A few years later my friends and I started a band, we had a beaten-up old drum kit but no drummer! I gave it a go and thought myself how to play. I also thought myself how to play the Bodhran but I am a bit rusty at playing all those instruments now. It was around the same time I started DJing.
