Brooklyn's best-kept secret, DJ RUBI , is synonymous with her special delivery of deep underground House Music. Not hesitating to blend various House styles, she enjoys the liberty of choice in music, working the tracks and telling her own story. Her unique deep selection varies from Techno, Electro, Acid, Lounge, Percussion, Soulful, and rare House Classics.
DJ Rubi established her name in the NYC House scene since 2003. She felt inspired by open-minded people who understood the unifying energy of dance and true House Music. DJs and Producers like DJ Disciple, Larry Heard, Vince Watson, Sue McGuinness, DeMarkus Lewis, Chymera, Vincenzo Ragone, Nick Holder, Glenn Underground, Kerri Chandler, and her closest friends Joseph Valentin and Steven Garcia from Funky Soul Rebels & House Cafe Music, have influenced her musical choices through their captivating sounds. She takes pride in being a part of the FSR collective by bringing her sounds to the masses.
DJ Rubi has held residencies at The XPO Gallery Jan Larsen, Sapphire Lounge, Belmont Lounge and has had guest appearances at Bembe, Baraza, Flute, Union Square Lounge, Sin Sin, Moomia Lounge, and Le Souk in New York City, which has resulted in transforming dance floors into spaces of sheer bliss.
