Emil first took to the decks in 1989 and this extensive experience clearly permeates in his sets. Having graced the decks at all the top Clubs in Hong Kong and mainland China (Guandii,Park97,Club Gossip, Baby Face, Madam Zung, Club V, Rojam, Wynn Win, Show 5,Club Muse,La La Land etc), he spins a wide array of styles, from uplifting to electro house, through progressive to break-beat. Since 1996 he has played an active part in promoting and organizing underground parties in Hong Kong and China, always pushing the envelope and pioneering the development of the music scene in these new markets
As a Music Consultant and Djing for major clubs and global brands such as Chivas, 555, Absolute Vodka, Heineken, Sol Beer, Louis Vuitton, Replay,Philip, Puma, Nike amongst others, he still finds the time to nurture up and coming talent through training and providing opportunities.
In 1993 he released the Underground Sound Volume I Live Recording mix CD on the VMP label and, most recently, the “Lights of the Cities - Shanghai, Suzhou†mix CD for Shanghai’s famed Club Guandii was released in November 2005 on renowned Taiwanese label High Note Records
Having played in front of over 10000 revelers at the 555, IE Ultimate Dance Party in Shanghai, he is no stranger to having to please massive crowds. Moreover he has supported international superstars such as Paul Van Dyk,Paul Okenford, Dave Seaman, Above n Beyond,John OO Fleming, Slacker, Laurent Garnier, Derrick May, Judge Jules, Terry Francis, Breeder, Jon Da Silva, Park n Willson, Donald G, (JDS ) Darren Pearce, Thrillseeker, Lange, Pulser, John Askew & Graham Gold,… The list goes on. Yet despite this he remains humble and still goes back to his roots.
He was the driving force behind Gossip, one of the best afterparty concepts in Shanghai history, located on the top floor of a hotel in the city center providing one of the most stunning surroundings anyone could want at 6 am and beyond! Continuing this trend he now organises and is resident at La La Land, once again one of Shanghai’s favourite afterparty venues due to consistent top quality music and atmosphere.
