Hi, My name is Skott Alan Joyce & I am a 25 year old brummie. I was born in Birmingham UK but moved down Plymouth about 4 years ago. I work as a security guard 4 a living but want 2 be a pro DJ. Never really had that big brake I always wanted. Still trying though. I have played out a couple of times in small clubs & organized my own night's but they didn't go 2 plan. Most raves I go 2 I end up playing at the after party's. 9 times out of 10 I am the only 1 who wants 2 play & end up playing 4 8-10 hours. The longest I have played at an after party was about 17 hours. That after party lasted 36 hours {mostly because I played 4 that long} which was cool. Not saying what I was on that night but I can tell u it was good. I started playing on the decks when I was 17/18. I started playing on my mates decks 4 about 6 months then went & brought a cheap pair of belt-drives 4 me 2 practice on thinking I could save up & buy a decent pair but 2 be a DJ u need a lot of money. I had a choice buy records every month or save up 4 a decent pair of deck. I chose records. 1 day i will get a decent pair.I have got a decent stereo & a 4 way mixer with FX & I don't know how many records I have got but it's enough. They range from Old Skool which cost a lot because they r quite old & rare. A wide collection of D+B ranging from Jump Up D+B, Dark D+B, Jungle & what ever else I have picked up along the way. I do have a small collection of Happy Hardcore but not many. Don't dig that 2 well. I try & go on my deck at home at least 5 days a week depending what work is like. I came up with DJ Belt-drive because at home I still play on belt-drives so if any1 is out there who wants 2 give me a decent pair of decks then give us a shout lol. I wasn't always known as DJ Belt-Drive. When I first started out I was the DJ Assassin. I was the DJ Assassin 4 about 6 year's but found out some1 else had the name when I brought 1 of his records. Later I found out he has been playing in the Q-club in Birmingham the 1 place if not the only place I really wanted 2 play in. The Q-club was my old stomping ground when I lived in Brum. My favorite rave in there was Flashback which played Old Skool in the main arena & D+B & Happy Hardcore in the 2 smaller arenas. That is 1 rave I would love 2 play at but they don't do them anymore. So the DJ Assassin had 2 die & from the remains the DJ Belt-Drive was born. Bigger Badder & ready 2 get his name out & about so here I am sorting this out so more people can here me. I am going 2 sign up 2 a D+B radio web site soon so I can get heard that way 2. Need 2 get the right equipment 2 do it first. Again it's money. I might have a small club lined up in Plymouth where I can set up Friday's & Saturday's & play 4 a couple of hours which will bring in some money then go bigger. NOT FINISHED NEED SLEEP
