DELIGHT a Brooklyn artist who not only has a voice but lyrics and the ability to produce her own music. Delight started recording at the age of 11 when her father introduced her to an old 90's eight track recorder and a tape deck to boot. It was all fun and games at first but DELIGHT soon realized music was her calling. When people ask her what her religion is she tells them music, she lives and breaths it. Recently DELIGHT worked closely with Che Grand, an up and coming rap artist out of Brooklyn, whom she meet at a non-profit organization called ART-START.org where Delight volunteers her time where she helps under privileged teens with creative writing, lyrical poetry, production, recording studio time, and the creating a hip hop CD used for art start donations. Her background of performance stems from musical theater and a tweek on her talent from AMDA where she received a scholarship to attend. She then attended New School University where she majored in Creative art therapy and psychology, as well as musical theater. DELIGHT recently has preformed on stage in Asbury park NJ with singer songwriter John Caspi, a multimedia performance that included a musical theater interpretation of Caspi's album, told as a story. The show included music video and a live Caspi band. Other performances include DJ rooftop parties in Brooklyn NY, The Producers club DJ set and Sutra lounge in Manhatten where Carly worked closely with other up and coming Urban artists in a multimedia performance which included a DJ set as well as vocal performances by DELIGHT and an art exhibit by a number of Urban artist. DELIGHT is currently in the process of finishing a six song EP which she hope to perform at the end of the summer.more
