Subject: m4a won't play on Windows machines Posted: Thu May 08 17:14:06 -0700 2008 I uploaded a recent epdisode that played just fine for me on my Mac, but friends can't play it. Is it because the file is m4a? I thought Podomatic automatically converted for Windows. Do I need to convert to a different format? If so, how do I do it in iTunes/Garage Band. Thanks

I don't know what - besides quality - would be lost if you chose MP3 over AAC. There IS some software they can down-load that will fix the situation on their systems, I'm told, but a great many Windows users don't want to trust new software on their systems. And I don't blame them! One of my last dozen shows is a quick link to it, but I don't recall which. Sorry. Dave M
