Paul, how about a roll-over option? Say you regularly use 10 GB bandwidth per month but are stuck with a plan offering 20 GB per month. You normally would barely use half ... but you could 'bank' it for one month, giving you the opportunity to 'spike' up to ~30 GB every second or third month before getting a penalty.
OK, I pulled the numbers out of my butt and have no idea how POM feels about the idea - IF they have thought about it - but would that be a solution for you? One problem might be that you'd have to have paid for the "20 GB" in the first place, but it may be time to open up a new entry-level class and expand the definitions of the "Pro" classes - maybe more storage and/or bandwidth as well as additional services, for a small additional cost.

Dave,
You know, that is really an elegant idea. BMU is for most of the year, pretty quiet. Hence the regular allotment is adequate. Its just during the award season or special event that I start needing the band width. So a kind of a pay as you go system would work better for me. But an option to "save up" bandwidth is a catchy one as well. In either case, I can see where it would be a premium just for the fact that it's not always recursive. Great idea! Thanks
Paul

I know kind of like a cell phone, that like say you have 400 txt msgs and you want to upgrade you to 1000 they charge you a rate of something in between the cost of 1000 msg price and 400 txt msgs. I don't know if I explained it at all but, POM could make offer an charge based on how much you go over, that wouldn't be terribly bad, and more convient to the customer than upgrading to a higher package they dont need all of

The idea is good; our billing system isn't up to the task at this time though.

Justin:
What would be of more interest would be an easy way to just upgrade for a month and not have it roll over. There are months that I could used the bandwidth and then there are months that I dont need the overhead. Just to be able, on an "as needed" basis, would be most useful.
