They are for a partial day and, thus, generally lower than previous. That is, until the eleventh hour, Pacific Time. 23 hours will have been counted by then, most likely the busiest of the 'day'. Also, 'Page Views' are not part of the ranking scheme - or, haven't been. And, AFAIK, are counting people who look rather than listen.
