i understand that there were some issues a while back, but my stats are so inconsistent lately.
is anyone else having a noticeably sharp decline over the course of a few days and then it will be normal for a few days?
I am sure it could be just the way people are downloading, but the change was so drastic i thought i would ask.

We were told there was a change in the wind, suddenly my coveted place at #5 or #6 has dropped to #7 even though my unique visitors and subscriber numbers have been either stable or improved.
Wonder what the new parameters are.

I was just reading that they had an outage because of a hard disk filling up. I would suspect that the backup, swap out and restore would have effected anyone on that server. Am I right of am I bafflin with bs again?

yeah see thats the weird thing with me too, my unique visitors are WAY up but the downloads use to be about 1000 more per day. There are also some real reasons that this might happen that I do know of, and thats why i havent thought much about it, but as you say all the other stuff indicates the downloads should reflect the traffic

Try not to focus too much on "today's" stats. They are for a partial day and, thus, generally lower than previous. That is, until the eleventh hour, Pacific Time. 23 hours will have been counted by then, most likely the busiest of the 'day'. Also, 'Page Views' are not part of the ranking scheme - or, haven't been. And, AFAIK, are counting people who look rather than listen.

I am not sure exactly the cause, but there has been some sporadic losses. I remember reading that there was a minor glitch on one of the servers and a hard drive filled up before they could catch it. May or may not be involved...might be a call for the head honchos. Click contact at the bottom of the page.

Yeah, except pro support doesn't always get you any support. I e-mailed them a question last week and STILL haven't heard back. But yeah, my stats are all screwy too...
