Ha frequentato per pochi mesi, durante il terzo anno delle scuole elementari, un corso di pianoforte e, francamente nella pratica era già abbastanza avanti ma, in teoria, si intuiva già, che avrebbe seguito il percorso più breve: lui e i libri non sono tuttora fatti l’ uno per l’ altro. Durante le scuole medie, quando lo invitavano ai compleanni, amava, già ad allora, portarsi dietro i suoi pochissimi dischi e cassette, per farle ascoltare e ballare alla sua compagnia di amici, ovvio…. Manco a dirlo, non era musica disco. Si è avvicinato alla musica da discoteca nel 1978 ma, non ha mai avuto la possibilità di comprarsi i dischi che andavano di moda in quel periodo, ogni tanto da un amico d.j. dell’ epoca, riusciva a farsi registrare qualche cassetta, dalle quali con il passare degli anni è riuscito a trovarne i titoli dei brani e finalmente, lavorando, ha potuto iniziare a comprarsi i suoi primi dischi. Fin dal primo approccio con la musica disco, si è innamorato del Funky e su quel genere di musica ha basato le sue fondamenta, tanto che ad oggi, gli piace suonarlo nelle varie feste private e situazioni particolari, per gli amanti del genere, per le quali è molto ricercato all’ Isola d’ Elba. Il 1982 è l’ anno in cui ha fatto il suo primo ingresso (da cliente) in una discoteca: (La Bussola di Porto azzurro - Isola d’Elba), nel maggio 1983 un amico che lavorava li come dj, gli propose di dargli una mano alle luci e accettò senza pensarci due volte, a quel punto colse l’occasione e si fece insegnare il mestiere, che gli dette buoni risultati fin da subito. Nel corso degli anni vanta di aver conosciuto e lavorato alla discoteca La Bussola al fianco di nomi del calibro di Riccardo Cioni e Steve Martin pietre miliari del epoca dai quali è stato musicalmente influenzato, Federico L’Olandese Volante (allora a Radio 105, attualmente a R.T.L.102.5), Wish Key alias Max Berti Dj autore del brano Orient Espress 1984, P.Lion autore del brano Happy Children 1984 e Ryvon Dj anche lui autore di un brano di successo all’epoca, ma del quale non ricordo i titolo, infine Micia Dj la prima donna dj che ha conosciuto. In altri locali con Master Dj (Duplè Aulla 1986), Stefano Secchi (Radio 105), Miki, Farfa, Ciro, dai quali con l’avvento dell’ house music ho appreso molto. ESPERIENZE LAVORATIVE: Giugno 1983 alla discoteca La Bussola di Porto Azzurro, all’epoca uno dei locali migliori presenti all’Isola d’Elba; fine periodo dicembre 1987 (Capodanno). Nel 1988 periodo lavorativo alla discoteca Marina 2000 di Campo nell’Elba. Nell’estate 1989, gran ritorno alla discoteca La Bussola dopo il cambio gestione e serate di fine estate al Club 64 di Portoferraio - Isola d’Elba. Sempre nel 1988 un altro periodo lavorativo al Mandel Club 66 di Capoliveri (Isola d’Elba). Inverno 1990 periodo lavorativo alla discoteca Norman’s Club di Portoferraio (Isola d’Elba) Dal maggio 1991 al luglio, periodo lavorativo ancora al Mandel Club 66 di Capoliveri, per passare ad agosto alla discoteca Akbar di Porto Azzurro,dove insieme al deejay Miky, ha organizzato il primo in assoluto ed unico vero after hour dell’Isola d’Elba ; fine periodo, marzo 1992. Sempre nel 1992 a novembre,ha lavorato una sera alla discoteca Frumpy di Tirrenia (PI), la sera successiva insieme al deejay Riccardo Cioni alla discoteca Jaiss di Empoli. Inverno 1996, comincia l’attività in discobar, al Joe’s Garage Pub di Portoferraio, nell’estate, ancora discobar al ristorante pizzeria Il Rustichello a Lacona – Capoliveri (Isola d’Elba), al Jimmy & Jazz di Montecatini.
